Jan 22, 2005 - Two Rayo lamps to add to my collection, expected to arrive next week.
Jan 23, 2005: - Heard from Richard that my Brass Rayo shipped on Saturday.
Jan 24, 2005 - Recevied my second rayo lamp (rayo #2) [see photo below]
Jan 27, 2005 - Received my third Rayo Lamp from Richard. Awesome find, see photos below!
April 27, 2005 - Attended my first lamp show back in early march! Got several new lamps between my last update, at the show and the past few months. Check out the photos to see them!
September 20, 2005 - Added a new Central draft Lamp to the collection. A Miller - the new juno # 2

About this Hobby

One of my hobbies is collecting Kerosene Lamps, or also refered to as Oil Lamps. This hobby begain shortly after my grandma went to be with the Lord. Upon finding a old oil lamp she used to have, I began to get intrested in the hobby of collecting these.

To me these lamps represent a time of life when things were simpler and people knew right from wrong. They represent the rich past that we come from. And as a Christian, I see them as a example of the light of Jesus Christ in my life.

Currently as I write this, I have about 23 lamps. Three antique rayo lamps and the one my grandma had. I own two Aladdin Lamps and several diffrent flat wick lamps. I have several working lamps that I use daily and the rest are for display purposes only. I am also part of the organization called the Aladdin Knight.

I have attended various seminars and lamp shows in the past and am always learning and seeking a good find to add to my lamp collection.
